NEWS

We have a 16.2hh ID gelding for sale please see the sales page for more details.

We have added a new mare to our herd. Santana (Sunny) is a pink papered hanoverian mare graded in the head stud book SSH. She has produced a BEF 2nd premium 2yo who scored the highest overall score for his age group in 2005. We are really excited to add this quality mare to our stud. She will be covered by Ustinov this year.

Penny has now left and has settled into her new home. We wish Penny and Cath the best of luck for the future.

IMPORTANT UPDATE, We now have 4 mares in foal for 2012. Bean and Molly have been scanned in foal to our 3yo stallion Ustinov. These will be his first foals so we eagerly await the births.

Bean has now been graded into the Main stud book BWBS.

Fantastic news, WOW our future stallion has been tested HOMOZYGOUS for the tobiano gene................................He will only produce coloured foals. So not only has he got a world class pedigree he can only throw colour!

Bean (Vabinna van de Kampert) is getting ready for her grading day with BWBS at Rachan Stud on 24th September. Best of luck to Sarah and Bean.

Ustinov and Wow have now arrived and we will get better pics of them when they have settled in and recover from their long journey. Please see stallions pages for details.

Polo (Spotless Smokey) has been competing sucessfully in one day events and jumping British Novice with only one pole down, great news and very proud of him. We are so glad Lucy and Polo are doing very well.

All our mares have been re-scanned and we seem to have mixed fortunes. Molly who was scanned in foal has lost her pregnancy. LJ is still in foal to Decopauge and Emma is scanned in foal to Solaris Buenno and Bean is not in foal. Please see foals due for details.

Penny has now been sold and will be leaving at weaning. Best of luck to Penny and Cath for the future.

Molly and LJ are scanned IN foal, please see foals due 2012 for matings.

Midget (by Spotless Smokey ex W.Molly the Dolly) has been sold to a wonderful home in Singapore. He will stay with us until he has been broken in.

Our second and final foal of this season was born on 19th May. Midget is a wonderful loud leopard spotted colt out of our SHB graded mare Molly.

April has seen the arrival of a wonderful filly by Spotless Smokey out of our BWBS graded mare Emma. Penny as we have called her is a bright bay near leopard filly with 2 white socks and a big white star.

We have now added another broodmare to the 3 mares that we currently have. A Belgian warmblood named Vabinna van de Kampert or bean for short.

Polo has now been sold and will be moving to his wonderful new home where he will commence his ridden career.

Welton Molly the Dolly and Miss Pimpinella both scanned in foal to Spotless Smokey for 2011.

Miss Pimpinella graded BWBS.
It was a good day at Rachan Stud in Hawick for us. We took our TB mare Emma along for the 1st grading at the stud and she recieved main stud book status. Mr and Mrs Crowden from Woodlander stud did the judging and gave our mare some really nice comments. We hope that Sally and David continue holding grading days etc in the future.
